Orji made the call at the celebration of her 100 days in office where she inaugurated many borehole rojects in five different communities in the constituency
She said that the area, otherwise known as Ajegunle, had been lacking basic amenities which had contributed to the hardship of residents.
“Ajegunle people have been suffering and smiling because we don’t have good roads, water, electricity and schools.
‘“I understand our problems because I live here too. Therefore, I promise to represent you fully by ensuring that you feel the presence of the Federal Government.
“These three months I have spent in office, I have moved a motion on the construction of Kirikiri/ Boundary Road and I am seriously praying that it will be approved soon.
“I beg you to own and maintain the boreholes I have provided for you. I also urge you to pray and support me so that I can help our people to live comfortable lives,” she said.
Also speaking, Mr Danladi Baido, the House of Representative member representing Ardo-Kola, Lau and Karim-Lamido Federal Constituency in Taraba State, urged the people to pray for Orji.
“Pray and support her all the time because she has a willing and strong heart to fight your case to the last,” Baido said.
In his remarks, Mr Bulus Solomon-Maren, representing Mangu/ Bokkos Federal Constituency in Plateau, congratulated the residents for voting for a true representative.
”Rita has been talking about your problems at all the plenary sessions and I can see why because you really need the presence of government.
“We will support and collaborate with her to drive development in Ajegunle, ” he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the boreholes were inaugurated in Tunkarim, Okorogbo, Awodi-Ora Estate, Uzor and Layemi, all in Ajeromi/ Ifelodun Local Government Area of Lagos State.
