The Butcher and The Bridge, an electrifying musical on the power of faith and love in the face of terror and war, makes its final showing today at the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos.

A young couple faces a merciless warlord when they are sent to work in a region where he rules with an iron grip. Following in the tradition of Spirit of David Gospel Dance Club’s powerful repertoire of 1st October productions, The Butcher and The Bridge is daring, radically different and wholly unorthodox!
Billed to be Spirit of David’s most daring show to date, this will be the club’s first dance concert with an advisory content warning: guaranteed to have graphic imagery!

With an inspired cast of three hundred musicians, dancers, actors, singers and support crew, The Butcher and The Bridge will take on cutting-edge concepts applicable worldwide, particularly in Nigeria, at this present time.
Executively produced by Segun Lawal & Uyi Omokaro, written and directed by Uyi Omokaro and starring such greats as top Nigerian stage choreographers Gbenga Yusuf, Bimbo Obafunwa, Wale ‘Rubber’ Sodade, also starring Victor Olaotan, Singer Yinka Davies and backed by Spirit of David branches worldwide, The Butcher and The Bridge is bound to be one spell-binding experience!
Cry, laugh, mourn, get lifted and tap dance your way out of the hall as you find hope, and faith; stir courage, and re-embrace the depths of love unbounded.
