JIM Carrey’s ex Cathriona White was married to another man when she died, it has emerged.
The Irish make-up artist, 30, wed a mystery man in Las Vegas on January 15, 2013 – just months after she got together with the actor for the first time.
In September 2012 she was snapped with Carrey, 53, on Malibu beach – and pals said their romance lasted “a few months”.
And one friend told The Sun she was devastated “for a long time” after their split, making the timing of the marriage bizarre.
Cathriona was found dead at her LA pad from a suspected drug overdose on September 28 — five days after her break-up with Carrey.
The pills beside her body were used to treat insomnia, moderately severe pain, high blood pressure and chest pain, and nausea and vomiting.
Cathriona is expected to be laid to rest beside father Pat in her native Ireland.
Devastated Carrey has told friends he will make arrangements to fly to Ireland as soon as a date is set for the funeral.
He has also reportedly been helping the White family as they deal with the horror in the States.
On Wednesday, Carrey was spotted arriving at his former lover’s home in the Sherman Oaks area of Los Angeles.
US police may soon question the star as part of their investigation into White’s death.
The couple were last seen together on September 10, smiling during a date at the Kayne Griffin Corcoran Gallery in Los Angeles.
They are believed to have broken up on September 24.
