JAMIE VARDY’S stunning fiancée has ordered the England striker not to splash out on flashy floral displays for their wedding – as she would rather spend the cash on BOOZE.
Rebekah Nicholson, who already uses Jamie’s surname, has told the Leicester City ace she does not want a garden of blooms on their special day.
Instead, she has vowed guests at their wedding will have the best night of their lives.
One source told the Sun on Sunday: “There are some brides who would insist on a giant bouquet and massive floral arrangements dotted all over their venue.
“But Becky doesn’t see the point in spending all that money on flowers that will die when they could splash the cash on their guests having a good time.
“Both she and Jamie love a party and their friends and family are the same.
“So they are likely to spend most of their budget on food and alcohol for the reception.
“Becky will have a very simple bouquet to throw and a few flowers here and there for the sake of tradition. But there won’t be any huge centrepieces.
“Instead, they want to give the people close to them a night to remember. The whole city of Leicester has had a party atmosphere since the team won the Premier League and they want their wedding to continue that party.”
This week the brunette, 34, also gave Jamie a sneak peek of what he can expect on their wedding night, by posing in sexy bridal lingerie in our exclusive photoshoot.
The source added: “Becky looks absolutely gorgeous in these pictures, and they show exactly why Jamie is so keen to walk her down the aisle.
“The feeling is mutual — Becky can’t wait to finally become Mrs Vardy — so it seems pretty certain the sparks will really be flying on their wedding night.
“And Becky will want to surprise Jamie, so this outfit will just be a small taste of what’s to come.”
Rebekah met Jamie, 29, in January 2014, when she was hired to organise the footballer’s birthday party. They will tie the knot next Wednesday.
The loved-up pair — who have a one-year-old daughter together, Sofia — brought forward the date of the wedding to avoid clashing with England’s European Championship campaign, which begins next month.
Their big day continues a remarkable year for Jamie, who lifted the Premier League trophy with Leicester City in one of football’s greatest underdog stories.
That triumph sealed a massive turnaround for the star, who earned the nickname “the Cannon” for his explosive personality.
He once played non-league football wearing an electronic tag following a conviction for assault aged 20.
But after a £1million move to Leicester from Fleetwood Town, Jamie cleaned up his act and spearheaded the Foxes’ title charge.
He won his first England caps along the way and is now a household name worth tens of millions in the world transfer market.
Jamie and Rebekah have even been dubbed “the new Posh and Becks”.
But Rebekah insists their new-found fame has not given the couple any airs and graces.
She said: “Obviously we’re not David and Victoria. We’re still just Becky and Jamie.
“But they’re great role models. I admire Victoria as a businesswoman for what she’s achieved, just as much as I admire David’s achievements. She has become successful in her own right and is someone I have total respect for.
“As a footballer’s partner, it’s not about being arm candy. But I’m sure Victoria herself would say it hasn’t happened without putting in the hours behind the scenes.
“That’s what I’m doing. We’re a team. I try my best to take all the stress away from Jamie’s life so he can just focus on football.
“Because if he doesn’t focus on football, he isn’t doing his job properly.
“But neither of us are silly enough to think football lasts for ever.
“We’re trying to prepare for that because you can never take things for granted.
“We need to be sure we’ve got the foundations in place to continue to support our family. I’m always thinking about what happens when it ends. We are both trying to plan.”
The source added: “Becky and Jamie’s life has changed so much this year.
“They have had to adjust to cope with all of the attention they’ve been getting.
“That hasn’t always been easy for them, especially when the attention on occasion hasn’t always been the positive kind.
“But they are a strong couple and they work through problems, which makes them even stronger.
“Plus, Becky has a thick skin and won’t let slurs get to her.”
Sheffield-born Jamie’s rags-to-riches story — complete with all of his ups and downs — is set to be turned into a Hollywood film as his star continues to rise. And there is already one big name linked to the project, after it was reported that former footie hardman Vinnie Jones is in line to be cast as ex-Foxes boss Nigel Pearson.
Rebekah went on: “At the moment everything is just crazy.
“Everyone is excited and so are we, but the biggest thing is always the safety of our family. Our lives are quite boring.
“We play with Sofia, watch films and to relax, Jamie plays snooker. He’s waiting for (Leicester-born world champ) Mark Selby to come over and give him a game.”
But their wedding is set to be anything but dull.
The celebrations began at the end of April with Rebekah’s hen weekend, when the brunette tore up Liverpool with a group of friends. The girls enjoyed a pampering session at Harvey Nichols before embarking on a champagne-fuelled night out.
As the party went on, the hens donned masks of the footballer’s face before unleashing a blow-up doll bearing the slogan “Becky Vardy is having a party’’.
Posting a snap on Twitter of her pals sporting the masks, Rebekah tweeted the next day: “Thank God I only have to deal with one in real life! #VardyParty.”
The source added: “The girls had a great time but the biggest party is yet to come.
“Becky and Jamie can’t wait to celebrate their marriage with everyone they love.
“They want to make it the wedding to end all weddings.”
