Hollywood star acts as pallbearer at moving service for Cathriona White

HOLLYWOOD star Jim Carrey has joined mourners at the funeral of Cathriona White where he acted as a pallbearer for his ex girlfriend.
The somberly-dressed actor, 53, paid his respects in the village of Cappawhite, Co Tipperary, where Cathriona is being buried beside her late father Pat.

A pal accompanying the actor at Our Lady of Fatima Church in 30-year-old make-up artist Cathriona’s home village said the star was “here to grieve”.
Fr Tadhg Furlong, a parish priest, said her family and friends are faced with a life cut short, a vision not fulfilled, a dream not realised.

He told mourners: “Cathriona’s approach to life was to take on, to challenge the county, the country, the world.
“You remember the outgoing personality - the strong-willed, determined character.”

Cathriona moved to Los Angeles in 2009 where she was a TV extra before going behind the scenes.
She started dating Carrey in 2012 and the pair were pictured hand-in-hand in New York earlier this year.
She was found dead on September 28 in a house in Sherman Oaks, California, shortly after splitting from Carrey.
Her death is being treated as suicide.

A number of gifts were presented at her funeral service including a sports jersey and football to signify her love of Gaelic games, family photos and make-up brushes.
