ELLIE Goulding was reportedly overheard threatening to punch a guest at the swanky Animal Ball on Tuesday night after she was refused entry to the party’s VIP area.
The Burn singer, 29, allegedly flew into an “explosive” row with a fellow attendee during the debacle – labelling the guest a “b**ch” around 11pm in the evening after an altercation.
Until that time, the star had been making headlines at the exclusive charity event after arriving with a intricate and grandiose elephant headpiece to match a stunning gold dress.
The annual ball is used to raise money for endangered animals from extinction – and is one of the must-go events of the calendar for the elite A-Listers.
According to the Daily Mail, the star went to relaxed in a cornered off area when she was stopped by the fellow attendee – who told her the reserved space was for VIP’s only.
As things got more heated, the unknown woman was reportedly being heard telling the Still Falling for You singer to “not f***ing mess with her” before Ellie felt the need to retaliate.
After walking away, Ellie joined her friends, including actress Anna Friel, to recount her version of events.
She allegedly later labelled the reveller a b***h to a reporter and told them: "I've never met anyone as mean in my life. If she speaks to me again I will f***ing punch her!"
The Sun Online has contacted Ellie's representatives for comment.
Ellie has been helping raise money for the Elephant Family, Space for Giants, Lion Guardians and the Aspinall Foundation throughout the night - hosting a table at the Arts Club in London.
The party aimed to raise £2million from its patrons for the charities.
She was joined by Liz Hurley and actor pal Anna during the event - who both joined Ellie with their eccentric headpieces in aid of the charity.
