Meanwhile, Sam’s boyfriend has spoken out about the problems his girlfriend is faced with in the jungle.
Speaking during an emotional interview on I’m A Celebrity Extra Camp partner Tom Mairs revealed that she was not used to life in the limelight compared to the other campmates.

He told Vicky Pattison and Stacey Solomon: “I am unbelievable proud of Sam. The thing about Sam is that she has gone into the jungle with some elements and some problems that the other campmates don’t have.
“She’s not used to being on camera all the time and she’s not used to mic packs and she’s not used to those sort of things so to see her flourishing the way she is and the way she is coming across – she’s being so positive.”

Welling up with tears, he continued: “And how well she is doing in the trials it’s just unbelievable but for me tonight and the way she performed was just an unbelievable highlight. I am just so so proud of her. The whole family were so so proud of the way she was.”
When asked if the Olympic hockey player – who he has been dating for three years – was showing the ‘real’ her, he responded: “Yeah I am convinced we are seeing the real Sam.”

Sam and Tom met during a night out in Liverpool – but had both attended the same school.
Tom owns his own property firm in Liverpool and was the so-called Secret Millionaire on a hit TV series in 2010.
His comments come after Sam opened up about not really having a fan base, after Ant and Dec revealed to them they would all be going head to head to win a spot in the Royal camp and win immunity from the first eviction.
“I’m going to be blunt. I’m doing this solely for immunity because my following is tiny.
“I’m an unknown figure and no one knows me so I admit I’m doing it for that.”
Despite Wayne trying to reassure her she did have fans, Sam continued: “If I was immune to the first public vote that would mean so much to me because coming into here I’m a bit of an unknown figure.
“I really, really don’t want to leave. I’m loving every single minute of it.
“I’d just love to say in as long as I can so that is huge for me today.”
