Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello on Sunday, November 20th, paid a condolence visit to the family of Col Muhammad Abu Al, who was killed by Boko Haram on November 4 at Mallam Fatori in Borno State. He was 36. He left behind a wife, three young children and parents.

 Governor Bello, accompanied by the Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, is currently here at the Kaduna residence of Mrs Samira Abu Ali to commiserate with her and her children. He promises not to forget the family. He says Kogi State government will not just immortalise late Lt. Col Muhammad Abu Ali, government will ensure that they take responsibility for the education of his three children up to university level.
Governor Yahaya Bello extends his condolence to all families and loved ones of all who have lost their lives in the battle against terrorism and calls on the federal government to improve the welfare of our military personnel who are giving everything they have to protect Nigeria's territorial integrity. Furthermore, he urged the federal government not to forget the families of those who have died in active service.
The Governor also visited the residence of the mother of late Lt. Col Muhammad Abu Ali to condole her over the death of her son whom he described as a hero.
