BOOZY Wayne Rooney stunned guests at a swanky wedding when he sat down to tickle the ivories on a piano.
But the England captain, 31, hit a bum note as he simply “mashed” the keys at the posh bash.
Guests crowded round to hear the striker – wearing his England top – play on the white wedding piano.
They took snaps as he bashed the keys in front of staff and teammate Phil Jagielka, 34.
The drunken star and his pals were joking with the guests in a private area of The Grove hotel, in Chandler’s Cross, Herts., and even donned their suit jackets.
Wearing the suit jackets, Rooney, Jagielka and the other FA staff then strutted into the private wedding room to cheers and applause from the assembled crowd.
The England stars carried on partying with the revellers and necked drinks into the early hours.
A wedding source said: “Wayne on the piano was great fun but I reckon Elton John can sleep easy.
“He was just mashing the keys so you couldn’t really make out a tune and but the players and staff seemed to be enjoying themselves.
“The players had been stopping in a private area close to the room and the piano was in the foyer for the wedding ceremony.

“The guests came out to listen to Wayne then he and his mates ended up with the guests’ suit jackets on.
“Next thing they strolled into the wedding room wearing the jackets and everyone was taking pictures and applauding.
“They seemed to have a great time and everyone loved them being there – even if Wayne was struggling by the end.”
Rooney – who had been sinking glasses of red wine at the bash – was seen looking worse for wear as he posed for pictures with wedding guests and a couple of beauties.
The bleary-eyed Manchester United star had red wine smeared around his mouth and was said to "hardly be able to string a sentence together" by the time he left the party.
Workers at the five-star hotel - where England are based for their matches at Wembley - were shocked by the commotion caused by the footie ace.
He had partied with other England stars at the hotel on Saturday following their 3-0 victory over Scotland on Friday night.
Witnesses said Rooney had watched the boxing on TV in the hotel bar with Manchester City winger Sterling, 21, and defender John Stones, 22.
After England's 2-2 draw against Spain boss Gareth Southgate said Rooney's absence was due to a knee injury and not connected to what happened in the hotel.
A spokesman for Rooney said he had chosen to stay at the hotel and had been happy to pose for photos and chat with guests.
