Mum-of-two Kirsty said the actions of his campmates would have been like a “red rag to a bull” to the “sensitive” Homes Under The Hammer host.

Scarlett Moffatt and Danny Baker were accused of ganging up on Martin
Scarlett Moffatt, 26, and Danny Baker, 59, have been accused of ganging up on Martin, 53.
The mum-of-two, who landed in Australia to support her husband, told The Sun: “I was a little bit worried on Sunday when I saw him upset, but he’s a real people’s person, so he’ll fit in and he’ll get on. He won’t want conflict.
“Bullying is like a red rag to a bull to Martin. It’s a very raw nerve.

“I think that’s probably why he reacted that way. He took it quite badly. He’s quite sensitive to it, he’s a sensitive soul.
“When I saw that happening and I saw him upset, I just wanted to crawl into the television.”
Martin broke down in tears on the ITV show and had to be comforted by ex-footballer Wayne Bridge, 36, after he clashed with his fellow contestants after failing to restock the camp’s water supply.

After Martin repeatedly ignored camp president Scarlett’s requests, Danny snapped in front of a stunned group.
Danny told him: “Martin, she’s the President mate, whatever she says to do, you do it. Well you don’t, you always answer her back like she’s some silly kid and she isn’t.
“If she tells you to run down there and bring it up on the top of your head, then you run down there and bring it up on the top of your head, alright?”
The scenes were slammed by Christine Platt, the founder of the National Bullying Helpline - the UK’s leading anti-bullying organisation, who said their behaviour was like something out of the “school playground”.
She told The Sun: “It’s a pity there are no phones in the Jungle as The National Bullying Helpline would want to encourage Martin to call us right now.”
Kirsty, who has two children with the daytime star, says she now hopes the worst is behind him and has now tipped him to go all the way in the competition.
She added: “It’s been good to see Martin a bit more settled down in the jungle. He looks a lot happier, which is a relief.
“I think he’ll be fine. I think he’ll do really well.”

“He’d rather there be no atmosphere in there. If an apology is needed, he will apologise and get on with it. He won’t dwell on things.
“He doesn’t want the hassle. I think he’ll be fine.
“I think he will want to do more Bushtucker Trials, actually. Having done the Hollow trial on Sunday, I think he’ll be thinking, ‘You know what? I’ve done that and that was my worst fear. I can do anything now!’ From his point of view, he’ll be like, ‘Yeah, bring it on.’”

Martin took part in the Bush Brewery challenge where he had to chug down a pint of blended cockroaches.
The task saw actor Adam Thomas and Martin going head to head with former Strictly dancer Ola Jordan and comedian Joel Dommett in the “drinking” challenge, involving ‘putrid’ liquids.

The two winners will join the “Royal” camp and become exempt from the first eviction.
