A HIV and hepatitis positive 29-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of raping a 14-year-old girl
The 14-year-old girl was allegedly involved in a brutal sex attack at around 9pm on October 16, while she was alone in open play area ‘The Level’ in the city centre.
She was approached by a man who engaged her in conversation before leading her to an adjacent hut where he raped her before walking off.
The suspect, who was arrested earlier this week, was detained for being drunk and disorderly and seven cops were involved in his arrest. Police Constable Stockham tweeted: “On duty for a late shift today. Busy from the out so far.
“Just had to assist six other officers in carrying a male into custody.

“He was arrested for being drunk and disorderly and spitting at police.
“#Spithood applied before having to restrain him in the cell for constant fighting.
