A DEVIOUS man allegedly posed as a doctor and posted a job ad for nurses – inserting a rectal thermometer up the backside of a female applicant.

It’s claimed Howard Harlib, 62, also fondled the nurse’s breasts during the fake interview.
Police in Florida say the woman attended the appointment, believing she was in the running for employment as a nursing assistant.

However, she was shocked to later learn that the man who interviewed her – and reportedly assaulted her – was pretending to be a medical professional.

Harlib – who apparently searched for a nurse to take care of one of his ‘patients’ – has been charged with battery and practicing medicine without a licence.

Detectives said the female victim was asked a series of inappropriate questions by Harlib “such as whether she would be uncomfortable if a patient masturbated in front of her or touched her breasts”.

It’s claimed the interview was held at Harlib’s Miami Beach home, where he began “touching her breasts and pushing a thermometer between her buttocks over her clothing, claiming to be demonstrating the proper way to take a temperature rectally”.

The nurse fled his house after telling him she was uncomfortable with the nature of the interview – though Harlib insists he only touched her arm when he first met her.
