According to police, John David Harvey, 34, and 19-year-old Adrianna
Nordin, were stopped at a convenience store in Torrington, CT. Patrons
who called police said they saw three children, two 10-year-olds and an
8-year-old climb into the booth of an Acura, which was then shut behind
them.
The couple said there were already five people in the vehicle before the
children climbed in. The couple allegedly told police there was no room
in the car for the children on the 20-mile ride, so they put them in
the booth of the car.
Harvey's lawyer says his client made a 'bad decision'.
The defendants are charged with risk of injury and breach of peace. Both are free on $1,000 bond.
