THIS is the terrifying moment passengers on board an Emirates jet which crash landed today scrambled to escape the aircraft before it turned into a fireball.
Screaming customers are seen trying to collect their luggage while oxygen masks are dangling above their seats.
It was recorded by a passenger on board the aircraft moments after the Boeing 777 smashed into a Dubai runway during a botched landing.
Only moments later the plane burst into flames, sparking a battle with emergency services that claimed the life of a firefighter.
Some on board the plane can be heard yelling: "Please leave everything and jump outside. This way, this way. Leave everything!"
Another person can be heard yelling: "Jump, jump, jump!"
The footage continues until the person filming it escapes the plane by jumping down an inflatable escape slide.
Earlier today the hero firefighter killed while battling the Dubai jet inferno was identified as Jasim Issa Mohammed Hassan.
The 27-year-old was killed while helping to douse the flames caused when the Emirates jet exploded into a fireball after crash-landing at Dubai International Airport.
Saif Al Suwaidi, the director of General Civil Aviation Authority, said he died "saving the lives of the others".
"On behalf of the General Civil Aviation Authority, I would like to offer my heartfelt condolences to the family of deceased. I salute his ultimate sacrifice that kept many from harm's way.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with his family."
Hassan was the eldest sibling in his family and had three brothers and two sisters, theKhaleej Times reported.
His uncle Mohammed Ibrahim told the website: "He was my best brother, my best friend, and my best son. I do lose him so much, and so does each and every family member, friend, and neighbour.
"He dedicated his life to this type of risky job, and is well-known for his commitment and courage."
His cousin added that those who knew him would not be surprised by his "exceptional sacrifice".
All 300 on board walked away unharmed just seconds after being told there was a problem with the plane's landing gear as it approached the runway.
Exclusive footage obtained by The Sun shows hundreds of passengers fleeing the burning plane as the blaze takes hold.
Firefighters raced to the scene as fire tore through the giant Boeing 777 when it crashed after flying in from Trivandrum, southern India.
Chilling images reveal the top of the aircraft - which was carrying 282 passengers and 18 crew - was all but destroyed by the intense blaze.
Miraculously, all on board - including four Irish, six Americans and two Australians - were evacuated within 45 seconds before the inferno ripped through the plane's cabin.
Inflatable escape slides could be seen dangling from the side of the aircraft.
One passenger said: "In no time the cabin was filled with smoke. There was no announcement.
"The emergency door was forced open. Many of us now feel we have breathing problems because of the smoke."
Reports suggest the plane's landing gear failed as it approached the runway, while other accounts describe a fire on board as flight EK521 was mid-air.
